Christiana Olufunke Ojumu (born 1998) is a gorgeous model, entrepreneur, and linguist from Nigeria who is widely known as Christy O BBNaija. She became a reality TV star in 2022 after she joined the Big Brother Naija Show as one of the housemates in its seventh edition. Christy O was evicted from the show due to not having enough votes to compete for the grand prize of 100 million nairas. Before joining the Big Brother house, she focused on her modeling career. She managed her cosmetic line named “Christie O Cosmetics”, where she specialized in making and selling a custom line of lipsticks and lipgloss for women.
EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION
BBNaija Christy O was born to the Ojumu family in 1998. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ojumu named her Christiana Olufunke Ojumu. She is a Nigerian. She was birthed and raised in the ancient city of Akure, Ondo State, in the country’s Southwest region. Christy O is a Yoruba woman who hails from Ondo State. From a young age, she knew how to speak Yoruba and English fluently. She also knows how to write in both languages. She comes from a Christian household of four. She has an elder sister named Joyce Ojumu. BBNaija Christy O and her family attended a local church in their community, where she participated actively in the Choir and Drama Units.

After her introduction into the Big Brother Naija Level Up season, Chiristy’O described herself as a “funny, smart and hardworking extrovert” and admits you are more than likely to find her “where the fun is” on any given day. She also noted that when she’s not hiking or enjoying a picnic with her close friends, Christy’O makes time to write poems.
As an undergraduate, she worked as a commercial model, providing a steady income source for her. She collaborated with photographers, stylists, creative directors, art directors, cinematographers, and makeup artists on several modeling gigs. Christy O worked on projects such as television commercials, fashion shows, beauty photoshoots, social media ads, and music videos. BBNaija Christy O is multilingual. She developed an interest in languages while still in high school, speaking and writing in multiple languages. She has previously offered her services as a linguist to private and corporate clients. Christy O has also recorded success in the entrepreneurship field. She runs a cosmetics business called Christie Cosmetics. She operates an online store where she sells cosmetic products to customers across the country.
