Toni Tones was born as the youngest child in a family of five on July 20, 1985, in Lagos State. Though born and raised in Lagos, Toni Tones is reported to be originally from Odolewu, Ijebu-Ode L. G. A. of Ogun State. She is also reported to be the daughter of Nigerian politician, Senator Anthony Adefuye.
Toni Tones had her primary education at Our Lady of Apostle Primary School, Yaba, before proceeding to Queen’s College, Lagos, for her secondary education. She obtained a degree in Marketing and Economics from the University of Lancaster in the United Kingdom. She also attended the Relativity Film School in Los Angeles out of the desire to improve her acting skills.
Career
Tone came back to Nigeria from the UK in 2009. Prior to that, she had a mentor in London who coached her in photography for three months. Then, in Nigeria, she became a photography style icon paying attention to fashion and entertainment. She started off by going to different magazines to showcase her work and propose a business relationship. She was able to land some deals with clients that liked her work.
Later on, she worked in Koko Mansion, D’banj’s reality show. The work brought her to the limelight and fully kick-started her career. Then, she worked with different magazines like Genevieve, FAB, MADE, Sound City, Vanguard’s Allure, e.t.c. Also, she worked with personalities like Don Jazzy, Tiwa Savage, Banky W, Wizkid, Omawumi, Waje, etc.
