PTI final year student dies after being hit by a truck in front of school gate, school ambulance didn’t have fuel to rush her to the hospital

the students of Petroleum Training Institute in Warri, Delta State, shut down school activities in the Institute today, June 5, as they protested over the death of a final year student identified as Uwa.

According to the information received by our correspondent, Uwa was hit by a tipper truck that was allegedly driving one way in front of the school gate yesterday evening.

She was then rushed to the school clinic as she struggled for her life. gathered that her situation was very bad and the school clinic didn’t have the facilities to treat her. A student who narrated the incident stated that she could have been rushed quickly to a hospital outside the institute but instead, she was left struggling for her life for about an hour as the school ambulance didn’t have fuel.

She was eventually taken to the hospital in a tricycle popularly referred to as Keke Napep.

Unfortunately, she did not make it as the news of her death led to a protest by students who couldn’t take it.
